Wadi El Natrun, Egypt
A mass study for designing a landmark in the market square of Wadi El Natrun, commemorating the city’s martyrs and bearing their names. The design concept involves a large structure displaying the names of the nation’s martyrs, with a semi-enclosed wall behind it to create a theatrical effect and partially separate it from the surrounding shops.
